The Brittany was conceived from the country homes that dot the landscape along the coast of the English Channel. This region of France once known as “lesser Britain” has, because of its proximity, been influenced by both the French and English sensibilities. As you approach The Brittany from the street, you have a sense of the French and English architectural influence. An old wood arched front door, flanked by two wide long sloping gables, and wrapped in a warm brown hued brick.

Once inside, you are immediately struck by the feeling of the Old World. Cozy spaces, antique wood beams, handcrafted paneling, fieldstone fireplaces, a covered veranda, and soft tone paint colors. While absorbing these rich details, you are also aware of all the modern conveniences, appliances, lighting, and equipment that make any new home desirable.

But this not the only reason to tour the Brittany. The international design firm Pierre Deux, known for trademarking and branding “French Country” design, has installed the final touches. Their interior design is as much about image as it is about style.
